How I read this case
In the field AI runs into two limits no model solves: connectivity and trust. A grower who has read their soil for thirty years does not change a decision because of a dashboard. The cases that work started by measuring something the grower already wanted to know and could not.
The three questions
- Whether it works offline, because there is often no signal in the field.
- Which concrete decision by the grower changed, and at what point in the cycle.
- Whether the saving is in inputs, in water, or in yield: not the same thing.
